NX automation in the document process
XSN AutomationWorker for NX connects an appropriately configured ProcessingHub workflow to isolated NX and Teamcenter sessions. It generates neutral formats such as STEP, DXF, DWG, IGES and PDF. The configured workflow determines which formats are created for each job.
Output as needed
The worker adds the required neutral formats in the selected NX workflow; it is not a mandatory step in every output job.
One example is adding missing PDFs when the corresponding PLM collection option is enabled: in this workflow, existing PDFs take precedence. Newly generated PDFs become part of the job and are not written back to Teamcenter.
Operating in the NX environment
NX, Teamcenter access, FMS and the required licences must be available in the customer environment. Execution is aligned with the deployed and approved NX and Teamcenter environment.
NX Open and licensing
Syncware compiles the customer-specific .NET extensions. The customer supplies an appropriate NX Open Author licence for .NET for customer-side signing. If the extension is not signed accordingly, that author licence must be available in the runtime environment. The NX capabilities used also require the corresponding customer-side runtime licences.
Siemens licences are not included in Syncware’s scope of supply. Contact Siemens or an authorised Siemens partner for the licence configuration required in your environment.
