Turn product data into useful documents

DocumentCreationWorker combines data from PLM DataCollector with your document templates. The resulting content can be tailored to the recipient and output process. The template and available data determine which information appears and how it is presented.

Present product information for its intended use

Product data sheets are one possible application: collected product properties and metadata are brought together in a consistent layout. Other project-specific document content can also be generated from the supplied data, reducing the need to compile recurring information manually for each output.

Add useful content to document packages

Tables of contents and error pages are further applications. A PDF index links to the actual output structure, making the document package easier to navigate. Template-based error pages can present processing messages for the recipient.

In the intended document workflow, the PDF index is generated after a selected merge and before optional ZIP packaging. Job options determine whether this step runs.

Templates and operation

Default templates can be supplemented with custom templates. Data scope, layout and workflow integration are tailored to the agreed output process.
