Automate document processing in your output workflow
Document Workers prepare documents within Output Suite. Processing Hub coordinates the individual processing steps. The workers process supplied files, for example from PLM Data Collector or a file-based job.
The required result determines the choice and order of functions. Each step has its own purpose and can be operated according to processing demand.
Convert TIFF documents to PDF
Document Conversion Worker converts TIFF and TIF files to PDF. Existing PDFs can be passed on for further processing.
This prepares scanned TIFF material and existing PDF documents for a shared PDF output process.
Merge PDF files
Document Merge Worker combines multiple PDF files into one result file. Related documents can then be handed over as a single document.
The workflow defines which PDFs belong in the merge.
Apply the appropriate marking
Stamping Worker uses prepared layouts and document attributes for marking. Information from the output process can become part of the prepared documents.
Marking is applied at the intended point in the workflow. The separate Stamp Before View product is available for marking during direct access in Active Workspace.
Bundle result files as a ZIP archive
ZIP Worker bundles the intended files in an archive. This makes them easier to hand over together or use in a downstream process.
Keep the result in view
PDF files, archives, and job messages provide the basis for review before handover. The actual contents can be checked against the scope intended for the job.
Provide processing capacity where needed
Document functions use the shared worker foundation and are coordinated by Processing Hub. Capacity can be aligned with task and document volume.
Workers are designed for Windows, Linux, and containers. Delivery and automated deployment are aligned with each component and its target environment.
